The Bill passed the final stage before enactment on 10 December 2014, with amendments previously agreed to by the Seanad being agreed to by the Dáil; no further substantive changes were proposed at this stage. The Bill shall now be presented to the President for his signature, which is expected to happen later this month. The Bill is expected to be commenced substantially, by Statutory Instrument, with effect from 1 June 2015.
Upon its being signed and becoming the Companies Act, materials on the Arthur Cox microsite will be updated with references to the Act.
