Arthur Cox has topped Mergermarket’s league table of Irish M&A legal advisers by volume of deals for the first half of 2017, advising on 17 transactions valued at €2,571 million.
The firm’s continued performance as one of Ireland’s leading M&A legal advisers saw it advise on the top deals in the market over the past six months including the acquisition of Fyffes by Sumitomo, the acquisition of Peacock Foods to Greencore, the acquisition of Nexvet Biopharma plc by Zoetis and the fifth largest transaction in H1 which was the sale of Glanbia plc’s interest in Glanbia’s Dairy Ireland segment to Glanbia’s Co-operative Society Limited.
According to Mergermarket, aircraft leasing and the pharmaceutical industry have once again been the drivers in M&A activity in the first half of 2017 in Ireland.
